Lancaster District CVS
With an office in Heysham (tel 07979 652138) and lots of expertise, the LWT has helped many groups.
- LWT have a project running until 2017 to survey local wildlife. You can get expert help from them, or upload the results from your own surveys. Full details of the Biodiverse Society Project here.
Lancaster District Community & Voluntary Solutions (LDCVS) exists to help all voluntary organisations in the district. Its services include training, helping you run your organisation, and grant finding.
National Federation of Parks and Green Spaces
The National Federation of Parks and Green Spaces (NFPGS) is the umbrella organisation that aims to amplify the voices of Friends Groups across the UK.
The Federation works with the dynamic and inspirational grassroots movement of over 6,000 local Friends of Parks groups, supporting volunteers who act on behalf of the communities who use and care about our vital public green spaces of all kinds. We exist to represent their activities, issues and concerns, and strengthen their passionate and knowledgeable voices.

Promote the restoration and enjoyment of parks and gardens
Landed (Freemans Wood) project is an exploration of the issue of land-ownership and its significance for people and places. It is centred on a plot of land on the edge of Lancaster, known as Freeman's Wood, where the interests of a local community have collided with those of global capital.

Commercial Organisations - These folk need to earn a living from their outdoor work, so don't expect unlimited free help!
